In collaboration with the Bedford Cultural Commission, the City of Bedford presents ArtsFest, a family friendly event to promote and celebrate the arts in Bedford. This festival will feature artists, musicians and performers who contribute to the vibrant heritage of the North Texas region. Enjoy an assortment of food trucks, musical entertainers and art of all shapes and sizes at the historic Boys Ranch Park. Lifeguards Needed for Summer

Help Wanted The Parks and Recreation Department will hire up to 80 service-oriented lifeguards by Memorial Day as city aquatic facilities prepare to welcome thousands of summertime guests looking to cool off at city pools. Seasonal opportunities are available to Red Cross-certified lifeguards, ages 16 and older. Lifeguards are in the business of safety and prevention. In addition to enforcing all the rules and regulations of the pool, lifeguards are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the assigned facility. Irving lifeguards also will get a lot of customer service experience such as registration responsibilities.
